Analyst Training: Two Parentheses-The Math of Simple Analysis

Most analysis in healthcare doesn’t need more than two parentheses or what you learned in fourth grade. But sometimes our great data and brilliant models are dismissed simply because we forgot our order of operations (PEMDAS) or percentage calculations. A spreadsheet does simple math but doesn’t know math.

This Excelinar is a refresher on the simple math of analysis so you don’t get embarrassed when you’re trying to show your cool report but your customer raises their hand and says “I think you have the math wrong.”

Analyst Training: Spreadsheet Errors That Kill Your Reputation & How To Avoid Them

Healthcare Analysts translate big and complicated numbers into plain English every day. The crux of an analyst’s job is to take that data and use it to help health systems make better business decisions. Executive managers make system-wide business decisions off of analyst’s work every day — no big deal, right?

Painting the business picture through analysis is a process. In that process there are a myriad of mistakes that can be made. These mistakes can hurt an analyst’s credibility. In this webinar, Rick Carter illustrates the most common spreadsheet errors and how to avoid them in his signature live Excel format.
